Do members of your cabin crew need initial training? Would you like to refresh a flight attendant’s knowledge and skills when it comes to emergency situations? In addition to our tailored Safety and Emergency Procedure Training courses, we offer open seminars to train individual flight attendants in mixed small groups on how to address critical situations on board.

2020 has taught us that flexibility and individuality are essential to master the current challenges. Dangerous Goods

This seminar teaches participants about potentially dangerous goods and which adopted standards are applicable for their transportation. They are also provided with instructions on how to interact with passengers who are traveling with goods classified as dangerous. The training can either be booked as an initial or a recurrent course for personnel of the categories 10 (cockpit only) and 11 (cabin).

Crew Resource Management

Beside CRM foundations, training participants learn strategies for dealing with potentially heavy workloads. The emphasis is further on coping with difficulties and conflicts as well as how to communicate effectively within a team. The initial seminar is legally required and covers all content stipulated by EASA. Recurrent seminars allow cockpit and cabin crews alike to review their aviation experiences. They further have the opportunity to reflect on their own strengths and areas for development and to try out alternative approaches.

Legal notice: initial seminars for cockpit crews are based on a generic syllabus provided by CrewAcademy and follow best practice. This kind of training is operator specific and holders of an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) can adopt the syllabus of CrewAcademy.

Fire Fighting

As part of a hands-on training, cockpit and cabin personnel can train how to handle various fire scenarios correctly in our one-day practical sessions. From solid material fires to gas fires, the Real Fire Fighting Trainer (RFFT) is able to simulate all fire situations that can possibly arise on board.

Initial Cabin Crew

The Initial Cabin Crew Attestation takes places in a realistic aircraft environment. During the course, the participants will acquire the knowledge and practical skills necessary to safely accomplish their tasks and responsibilities for the safety of passengers in normal as well as emergency situations.

Survival Training

This training consists of two modules, which can be booked together or separately as required:

Principles of Survival

In the theoretical training module, participants learn the basics of survival in difficult and hard-to-reach environments such as polar regions, deserts, jungles or the open sea. They gain insight into the availability and use of appropriate equipment on board an aircraft as well as knowledge and skills for survival in emergency situations. Demonstration and use of other emergency equipment.

Water Survival

The practical training module mainly takes place in the water and includes putting on and handling of buoyancy aids as well as the application of survival strategies in the water. Participants train the use and manoeuvring of a life raft, and reproduce different situations including demonstration and use of other emergency equipment.
